Welcome to a wonderful world of Yella Lykoi cats. We are a small TICA-registered cattery – breeders of Lykoi Black white shaded and Black blue cats with blue or green eyes. All of our cats are of the Best European Champion bloodlines.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

The welfare and health of Lykoi cat for sale and Lykoi kittens for sale are highly regarded. Our breeders each have their respective families, to provide them with an adequate quality of life (love, education, attention, caresses, socialization, stimulation and they are first and foremost pets). Our Lykoi cats have a stimulating quality of life with toys and play modules, they are free in the house and everyone has their owner to receive all the attention. The kittens therefore receive excellent socialization in their respective families. All our kittens are sold sterilized, vaccinated, dewormed, registered, health guarantees, sales contract and receipt.

The adoption is between the 11 weeks and 16 weeks. All of our lykoi kittens for sale are in perfect health. We try to find the best possible families for our kittens. We pay attention to our breeding quality, choose our breeders in order to improve the lines and produce kittens to the requirements of the breed standard. We seek to constantly improve and follow the required training.Our lykoi kittens pass various health exams and routines such as: PRA, PCR, CMH, blood grouping test. For adopters: We offer post-adoption follow-up at all times to support you.We have an opening for sale for reproduction, according to certain requirements and criteria.
LYKOI CAT ORIGIN & GROOMING
Two different sets of domestic shorthairs with the Lykoi gene were adopted from a rescue after being discovered in Virginia in 2010, by Patti Thomas, who co-founded and named the breed, and in 2011, a second pair were located in Tennessee, by Johnny Gobble The Lykoi started their journey to becoming a breed in 2011. The very first Lykoi cat for the Lykoi breeding program was born to Brittney Gobble and myself in the Fall of 2011 to prove these cats were a breed with a unique gene.
The five foundation cats were then all registered together that same year with The International Cat Association(TICA). Since then, the work of multiple breeders, pet owners, and loyal fans have elevated the Lykoi to an almost rockstar status.
GROOMING
Lykoi cats are semi-hairless, with fur that grows in patches. It’s one of the coolest things about their looks. But that can also be misleading since you might believe they don’t shed as much as a traditional housecat.
Don’t be fooled! Lykois shed just as much as other cats, and sometimes even more. These cats are very prone to seasonal hair loss and can sometimes even have bald patches. Since their coat situation is definitely a unique one, you have to learn special care early on.
Lykoi cats benefit from weekly brushing. They have very sensitive skin, so you have to be careful when you use any tools. Irritation is common, so brush with care.

LYKOI CHARACTER & HEALTH

The behavior of the Lykoi is slightly different than other cats. Like other cats, they enjoy having people around, they love to be petted, and they love play interaction with people. They are not always a lap cat. They will sit with you for some time, but then they get curious about other things and get up to go exploring. We have seen Lykoi have guarding behavior over children and other cats.
It is as if they feel like they are the king of the home and it is their duty to watch over everything. We have seen Lykoi play fetch, learn to use a toilet, stand on their hind legs, and use their front paws like hands to reach under things. We even had one during play carry an item in its paws as it hoped across the floor on its back legs. |

They are full of energy which seems to only run out briefly just to start over again. When there are multiple Lykoi in a room, they tend to play and track like a pack.
We have had litters playing when one smells something to investigate and every sibling decides to follow with their tails up and erect like a pack of wolves after a scent.
Their behavior is why many people have called them a more dog-like breed compared to many other cat breeds. But, in the end, they are still cats, and you will see much of their lives acting like house cats.
